Being Muslims, we have responsibility of teaching the holy Quran to our children. Every Muslim must be highly concerned about teaching Quran to kids. Every person in the house is responsible for teachings of a child.
We have some questions in mind which are supposed to be answered in order to get started.

What is right age to start teaching the holy Quran? and How to give it a start?
The answer is "the age when the speak their first word". That is approximately two years. It is the age when the babies are trying to speak the words. You speak the Arabic letters befor them. And the will learn from them. You are supposed to do it gradually. Start with the letters, then easy words, the longer words, then two words combined and finally full ayah. Watch the sample video of my nephew learning with me.

Which method of Quran learning to choose?
It depends upon how your children can learn better. If they and what are the abilities of your kids. In their early age they need tha practice which I presented in the given video. But when they are 4-5 years, then they need formal education. 4-5 years which is very suitable for learning how to read. It is the time when they can start recognizing alphabets. Don't hasten, every child has its own pace of learning, Keep motivating your child. And soon they will start learning.

Keep it simple. Don’t force them to spend full hour for Quran learning. Take special care of their comfot. 15 min class is ideal for a small child.

Off line tutoring or Online Quran learning?

Choose any of the two methods. But keep in mind that hard-work is the key to success. and you need to keep encouraging your kids in order to have the best results. Just forcing them will not work. You need to say "good job" after evey word they pronounce correctly. :)

Set goals for them, and give them rewards for achieving their goals. When I was doing my Hifz (memorizing the holy Quran), then I was awarded a Rs:10-15 at completion of One Para memorization. You can also set goals for kids and give them reward. e.g. You would buy your child a candy if he / she learns 10 surahs in a specified time.

Another more helpful reward: Give your child a loving hug if you feel is sad becasue he can't learn. It will works much better than candies...

Some Tips:

Create a competition between your children.  But be careful. This competition should not give a start to hatred between them. keep it moderate and balanced.

Tell them Quranic stories. This story time will be creating a sound connection between you and children and between kids and Quran.

Children learn what they their elders doing. Develop a habit to recite Quran after fajr prayer. Recite Quran aloud, this would make them attracted towards the book of Allah.

Telling them about the rewards of reciting the hloy Quran. e.g thell the ahadith of prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) about the recitation of the holy Quran.

Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: “The best of you are those who learn the Qur’aan and teach it. ~ Bukhari Vol 6 – 61:545
