The Importance of the Holy Qur'an

As Salaamu Alaikum!

The first lesson to be learned by all students is about the importance of the Holy Qur’aan. The Qur’aan is the Book of Allah subhaanahu wa ta‘aalaa. Every word in the Qur’aan has come from Allah. That is why we say that it is a Holy Book. The words in the Qur’aan were sent by Allah to Prophet Muhammad sallal-laahu ‘alayhi wa-aalihi wa sallam. The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam) received the words of Allah through angel Jibra’eel. This Qur’aan is a Holy Book that was not written by anyone but sent by Allah to Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam) through Jibra’eel (AS)

  • It is the most truthful speech: Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam) regularly read the words of Allah to Muslims around him. These Muslims were very pleased and excited to receive the words of Allah. Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam) said: The most truthful speech, the most eloquent advice, and the greatest stories are in the Book of Allah. The Muslims listened carefully to what the Prophet read, memorized the sentences and passages of the Qur’aan, recited them regularly and followed the teachings of the Qur’aan. In order to preserve the words of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala, the Prophet appointed special people known as “Scribes of the Qur’aan” to write down the words of Allah.

  • It is in original language: Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam) was an Arab and the majority of people in Mecca and Medina spoke Arabic. Therefore the Qur’aan was sent in Arabic. Arabic is written from right to left. It is better to learn to read the Qur’aan in its original language. Therefore, we will put efforts to learn Qur’aan written in Arabic instead of simply reading its translation in other languages.

Analysis Of Preserving The Book Of Quran

Deen is termed as to the religion of faith and it is associated with the divine aspect of knowledge. It is provided to all mankind by a higher authority, which is objective and neutral. It is also found that the higher authority chooses a person for its spread. Prophet Muhammad(P.B.U.H) was the selected and chosen as the messenger to deliver the message to the humanity. The message also confirms that it is not at all made by different human beings, instead it is given by a Supreme Creator who keeps the interest of all people in his mind and does not favor any race over other.

Deliverance of Divine Message starts with advent of humanity. Some people follow it while others reject it. Over some period of time, this divine message became corrupted and the original message was lost. Quran teaching will help in better understanding of the Religion Islam. Therefore, this message was repeated through various messengers and prophets from one time to other for ensuring the people do not lose the sight of actual message. Therefore, each and every messenger and prophet also repeated this message which was originally revealed. The methodology, language, and some other issues might have existed in community of a prophet that depend on nature of human evolution, still this message remains the same in its actual sense.
A Muslim must understand that the Holy Quran was revealed at a time, when all other divine messages were lost because of any type of human interference. The creator declared in the Holy Quran that it is he who revealed this message and protected it. He also enabled the conditions that Prophet and Messenger can create the conditions for ensuring that there is not a single word that got lost in this Holy Book.

Qur’an is the most important book for the entire mankind

As Salaamu Alaikum!
The Qur’aan is the Book of Allah Subhaanahu wa ta‘aalaa. Every word in the Qur’aan has come from Allah. It is the most truthful speech: The Holy Qur’aan contains Allah’s message to all people. It tells people how to act correctly. It guides us to a correct way of life in this world. The Book of Allah also talks about life after death. It tells us that Allah has prepared Paradise for good people and Hell for bad people. The Qur’aan encourages the worship of only one God Who creates and provides for them. The Book forbids people from evil and condemns those who do wrong. It contains stories of the past Prophets and the examples of bad and good people. People are advised in the Qur’aan to be good to others and respect them. It teaches people to live in peace and harmony. Hence, we can say that the Holy Qur’an is the most important book for the entire mankind.

The Holy Prophet(Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam) said:

1) The best of you is he who learns the Holy Quran and teaches it to others. (Bukhari)

2) Undoubtedly, the heart gets rusted like metal gets rusted when water goes over it. The people asked, “How can they [the hearts] be cleaned?” The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam) replied, “To remember death in abundance and to recite the Holy Quran.” (Mishkat)

Living By The Qur'an's Values Is Easy

We have made the Qur'an easy to remember. But is there any rememberer there? (Surat al-Qamar: 17)

Allah sent down the Qur'an as a guide to humanity and conveyed the simplest and the best way to lead one's life. The verses give us the good news that Islam is easy to practice: "Allah desires ease for you; He does not desire difficulty for you" (Surat al-Baqara: 185).

The Qur'an is a clear admonition to people of all ages and cultures. However, some people refer to unreliable sources, rather than the Qur'an, that cause them to believe mistakenly that Islam is difficult. The basic reason behind this attitude is their incomplete knowledge of Islam.

In our own day, many people remain utterly unaware of the facts conveyed by the Qur'an, such as the existence of the Hereafter, eternal life in Hell, Paradise's matchless blessings, and our Lord's admonitions and warnings to humanity. However, the Qur'an was sent down so that people could read it and take admonition. The Qur'an reveals that Allah told the Prophet (saas) to say: "(I have been ordered) to recite the Qur'an" (Surat an-Naml: 92).

To read and comply with the Qur'an is one of a Muslim's most important responsibilities. Allah causes people to grasp the Qur'an, and only those who are guided by Him can understand the full meaning of its verses. He also promises guidance to the sincere servants who turn to Him.

Quran: Definition of the Term

The word "Quran," a verbal noun, is equivalent in meaning to "qira'ah," as both come from the verb "qara'a" which means "to read."

That is, Quran literally means "a reading or reciting." However, the term "Quran" has been historically used specifically to refer to the book which was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The term "Quran" is mentioned in a number of places throughout the book in reference to itself. For example:

"Verily, this Quran guides (humanity) to that which is most just."
[Noble Quran 17:9]

The name Quran is used to refer to both the Quran as a whole, as in the previously quoted verse; as well as to each verse or group of verses, as in the following verse:

"And if the Quran is recited, you should listen to it and be silent, that you may receive mercy."
[Noble Quran 7:204]

The Book has also been referred to by other names; for example, the Furqan (The Distinction):

"Blessed is He who revealed the Furqan to His slave in order that he may be a warner to all the worlds."
[Noble Quran 25:1]

and the Dhikr, (The Reminder):

Material on the Authenticity of the Qur’an & Allah

by Shaikh ‘Abdur-Raheem Green
All praise is due to Allah, we praise Him and we seek his help and ask His forgiveness. We seek refuge with Allah from the evil of our selves and from the evil results of our actions. I testify that Allah alone is worthy of worship and that Muhammad is His slave and final Messenger. May Allah’s salawaat (peace and blessings) be upon the last and final messenger Muhammad, his family and his followers. Ameen!
To begin: The best discourse is the book of Allah, and the best way is the way of Muhammad, and the worst of the matters in the religion are those newly introduced innovations, for every innovation in the religion is misguidance, and every misguidance is going astray and every going astray is in the Hellfire.
I have embarked on my commentary on the The Economist magazine’s survey “Islam and the West” (large insert in the August 6, 1994 issue) after some considerable deliberation, and find myself confronted with a considerable task, and indeed Allah is the best of helpers. Brian Beedham is able to rely on what Noam Chomskey calls “manufactured consent”. While dictatorships use force in order to achieve consent from the people and prevent opposition, “democracies” manufacture consent through the media by using it to providing a particular world view which conforms to the interests, by and large, of the ruling elite. He is able to get away with a short, condensed, article because he doesn’t need to prove much of what he is saying, he only has to repeat the prefabricated conventional platitudes. For example, when he talks the Algerian Muslims as “a singularly intransigent bunch of Islamic rebels, fundamentalists of the most bloody minded sort” he doesn’t have to prove it, because the establishment has already ensured that people believe this is the case. In fact the statement in not at all true. The Algerian fundamentalists proved willing to go to elections and seek a peaceful way re-establish the Islamic Sharee’ah . Recent events, such as the meeting of the opposition groups, including the “rebel fundamentalists”, in Rome, calling for talks and a return to free elections - which was even supported by the French government and was rejected by the Algerian government - shows that it is the Algerian government that has proved bloody minded. In spite of such obvious discrepancies Mr. Beedham is able to get away with it because consent has already been manufactured that the fundamentalists are rebellious and bloody minded.
Similarly he never feels he has to prove that democracy is an advantage, it is taken almost completely for granted, knowing his audience is already “captive” so as to speak. In the age of the “sound-bite” (or perhaps in this case “word-bite”), opposing the conventional wisdom is not easy, for what the likes of Mr. Beedham can say in a sentence opposing it would take a book. Even then it would be of doubtful effectiveness, for opposing the norms of society is perhaps one of the hardest paths to take for an instinctively societal creature like ourselves. Thus I shall be writing a series of letters, and not just one, thus enabling me to break down the commentary into more manageable pieces. I shall also refer certain topics to appendices, which may include video and audio tapes.

Listening to Qur'an before going to bed

As Salaamu Alaikum!

Some Muslims have the habit of listening to Qur’aan before going to sleep, whether from a cassette player or some other means, so that the he ends his day with remembrance of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala. So what is the ruling on this? Can a Muslim end his day by “listening” to the Holy Qur’an before he goes to bed? Let us see the answer:

There is nothing wrong with a Muslim listening to Qur’aan before he sleeps, or listening to a lecture or anything permissible. Indeed it is narrated in the saheeh Sunnah that among the adhkaar to be recited before going to sleep are some du’aa’s and verses and soorahs from the Qur’aan.

Al-Bukhaari said:
Chapter: Seeking refuge with Allaah and reciting Qur’aan when going to sleep
It was narrated from ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) that when the Messenger of Allaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam) went to bed, he would blow into his hands and recite the Mu’awwadhaat, and wipe his body with them.
Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5960.

It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam) appointed me to guard the zakaah of Ramadaan, and someone came and started to rummage in the food. I took hold of him and said: “I am going to take you to the Messenger of Allaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam)”… And he said:

“When you go to your bed, recite Aayat al-Kursi, and you will have ongoing protection from Allah and no devil will come near you until morning comes.” The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam) said: “He spoke the truth even though he is a liar; that was a devil.”
Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 3101.

Listening to Qur’aan before going to sleep and after, during Ramadaan and at other times instills tranquility in the heart and helps one relax. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“verily, in the remembrance of Allaah do hearts find rest”
[al-Ra’d 13:28]

With Best Wishes

Quranic verses 13-19 - Surah 31. Luqman

 As Salaamu Alaikum

Today we will share with you verse no's 13-19 of the Surah Luqman from the Holy Qur'an. These verses are giving us guidance and giving us instructions as to how we need to behave and conduct ourselves.

13. And (remember) when Luqman said to his son when he was advising him: "O my son! Join not worship others with Allah. Verily, joining others in worship with Allah is a great Zulm (wrong) indeed.

14. And We have enjoined on man (to be dutiful and good) to his parents. His mother bore him in weakness and hardship upon weakness and hardship, and his weaning is in two years- give thanks to Me and to your parents. To Me is the final destination.

15. But if they (both) strive with you to make you join in worship with Me others that of which you have no knowledge, then obey them not; but behave with them in the world kindly, and follow the path of him who turns to Me in repentance and in obedience. Then to Me will be your return, and I shall tell you what you used to do.

16. "O my son! If it be (anything) equal to the weight of a grain of mustard seed, and though it be in a rock, or in the heavens or in the earth, Allah will bring it forth. Verily, Allah is Subtle (in bringing out that grain), Well-Acquainted (with its place).

Quranic Foods - Honey

As Salaamu Alaikum!

Today we will read about one of the foods mentioned in the Qur'an which is Honey.

The Arabic word for honey is ‘ asal ( ).  The word is mentioned once in the Quran, while it is described in another verse where Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala talks about honeybees.

1- And your Lord inspired the bee, saying: "Take you habitations in the mountains and in the trees and in what they erect. Then, eat of all fruits, and follow the ways of your Lord made easy (for you)." There comes forth from their bellies, a drink of varying colour wherein is healing for men. Verily, in this is indeed a sign for people who think.[16:68-69]

2. The description of Paradise which the Muttaqûn (pious -- see V.2:2) have been promised is that in it are rivers of water the taste and smell of which are not changed; rivers of milk of which the taste never changes; rivers of wine delicious to those who drink; and rivers of clarified honey (clear and pure) therein for them is every kind of fruit; and forgiveness from their Lord. (Are these) like those who shall dwell for ever in the Fire, and be given, to drink, boiling water, so that it cuts up their bowels? [47:15]

Benefits

Honey, along with its vitamins and minerals, is a great benefit for human health.  It consists of sugar (glucose and fructose), minerals (calcium, potassium, magnesium, sodium chlorine, sulfur, iron and phosphorus), and vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, and C).8 In addition, it contains small amounts of several kinds of hormones, copper, iodine, and zinc – in other words, almost everything that the human body needs.

Quranic Foods: Mustard Seed

 As Salaamu Alaikum!

Mustard seed (2) Khardal (خردل ) means mustard.  Its seed has been mentioned twice in the Quran:

1. And We shall set up balances of justice on the Day of Resurrection, then none will be dealt with unjustly in anything. And if there be the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it. And Sufficient are We as Reckoners. [21:47]

2. O my son! If it be (anything) equal to the weight of a grain of mustard seed, and though it be in a rock, or in the heavens or in the earth, Allah will bring it forth. Verily, Allah is Subtle (in bringing out that grain), Well-Aware (of its place). [31:16]

 Description:

Let us read more about Mustard seeds:

Mustard greens and mustard seeds are among the oldest known herbal remedies for a great number of health conditions. Originated from the Mediterranean areas, mustard and the herbs from Brassica family were quite popular in the Middle and Far East.

In most modern kitchens, both mustard seeds and mustard greens are used for a variety of purposes: to spice up sandwiches, salads and other meals, to preserve pickles and so on.

There are three most commonly used types of mustard seeds, including brown mustard (Brassica juncea), white mustard (Brassica alba) and black mustard (Brassica nigra), which are available in powdered from or as whole.

Mustard seeds are used for producing oil, which is known for its excellent warming properties and can be used for massages. In addition, mustard seeds have very high nutritional value, being a source of many important microelements and nutrients. One of the healthiest and the least caloric spices, mustard seeds are used in almost every world’s cuisines and are among the world’s most demanded spices, which is especially loved in India, Canada and the US.

Quran says....

As Salaamu Alaikum!

A true believer lives his/her life in such a way which teaches others how to die, and dies in such a way that teaches others how to live...

And give good tidings to those who believe and do righteous deeds that they will have gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they are provided with a provision of fruit there from, they will say, This is what we were provided with before. And it is given to them in likeness. And they will have therein purified spouses, and they will abide therein eternally. (Surat Al-Baqarah 2:25)

‎"So lose not heart, nor fall into despair, for you will be superior if you are true in faith." Qur'an 3:139
Quran itself preaches many good things as it is a solution for humanity and a man can be completely guided through the teachings of Quran. Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala confirss in Quran that He had revealed it and will guard it from corruption.
Quran 15:9
"Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur'an and indeed, We will be its guardian."

Quran says call to your Lord, in other words, pray to Him:
And your Lord says, "Call upon Me; I will respond to you."
[Surah Al-Ghaafir (40): 60]

Quran says that you must worship Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala and be kind to your parents and pray for them.

Reward for Learning the Qur'an

As Salaamu Alaikum!

Memorizing the Holy Qur’an is one of the most important ways to preserve Allah’s message. The others are to publish and distribute the book, or the text on the Internet and to recite the parts that one knows to other people. Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam) said:

‘The best amongst you is the one who learns the Qur'an and teaches it.’ (Narrated by Al-Bukhari).

Actually, most important of all is to live by the message it contains, so as to be a good example to others. Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), when asked to describe the character of Prophet Muhammad  (Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam)  described it as ‘the Qur’an’.

The reward for remembering the message it contains, living by its guidance, and passing it on to others, is great:

"We, when the water (of Noah's Flood) overflowed beyond its limits, carried you, in the floating (Ark), That We might make it a Message unto you, and that ears (that should hear the tale and) retain its memory should bear its (lessons) in remembrance. "

Surah 69 Verses 11 - 12

It is Allah who helps people memorize the Qur’an, as he said to the Prophet Muhammad  (Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam)

By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget,
Except as God wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden.
And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path).
Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer).

Surah 87 Verses 6 - 9

Quran

"Alif Laam Raa. A book which we have revealed to you (Muhammad) so that you may lead the people from out of the darknesses into the light by their Lord's leave to the path of the All-Mighty, the Praiseworthy." [Quran 14:1] The Holy Quran.

The Quran is a Message from Allah to humanity. It was transmitted to us in a chain starting from the Almighty Himself (Subhanaho Wataala) to the angel Gabriel to the Prophet Muhammad. This message was given to the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) in pieces over a period spanning approximately 23 years. The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) was 40 years old when the Quran began to be revealed to him, and he was 63 when the revelation was completed. The language of the original message was Arabic, but it has been translated into many other languages. Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) was the final Messenger of Allah to humanity, and therefore the Quran is the last Message which Allah has sent to us. Its predecessors such as the Torah, Psalms, and Gospel have all been superseded. It is an obligation - and blessing - for all who hear of the Quran and Islam to investigate it and evaluate it for them. Allah has guaranteed that He will protect the Quran from human tampering, and today's readers can find exact copies of it all over the world. The Quran of today is the same as the Quran revealed to Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
Al Quran’ is unique in its composition and style. ‘Al Quran’ does not conform to the normal conception of a book. It is a book that is not like any book ever written. The chapters of ‘Al Quran’ consist of verses that deal with a mixture of subjects and miscellaneous topics. It is for this reason that the title or name of a chapter would not reveal the total information and contents in that chapter. The information contained in a chapter of the Quran is woven together and laid down in a mosaic form that might give the feeling of lack of continuity and order. Interconnection between the verses and the continuity of the subject might not be apparent or existing. Varied information within the same verse can also be found. It is reasonable to think of a chapter of ‘Al Quran’ as a beautiful flower bouquet, each of its flowers has its unique color and smell.
THus, for one to understand ‘Al Quran’, one should first free the mind from the preconceived notion of a “regular” book, and then concentrate on grasping the meaning of each individual verse in the chapter. Verses that have obvious and clear connection should be studied together. After one reads a chapter more than once, one is able to comprehend all the important lessons in that chapter. It is important that, for deeper and more understanding of ‘Al Quran’, the reader should visit any index, commentary, or notes, if available in the translation.
It is difficult to understand the complete meaning and grasp all the wisdom of ‘Al Quran’ after one reading. As a matter of fact, one needs to read ‘Al Quran’ over and over again with complete concentration and meditation before one can fully discover its hidden treasures. Because you gain new meanings and perception each time you read ‘Al Quran’, you might feel as if you never read such verses before. Amazingly, these realities, about re-reading ‘Al Quran’ often, hold true for all people regardless of their level of education. Fortunately, Allah rewards us generously for reading each and every letter of this great divine book

Holy Qur’an

Religion has always been there; even long before we could ever expect. This is not a religious fanatic making such claims, but this is what comes to surface by historians and explorers. They are just amazed to see no matter how old a civilization they might come across while digging and excavating; it has got its religious symbols and manifests of one type or the other.
This is simply because Allah Almighty, the one and only creator of the whole universe did not set to rest after creating the universe and human beings; but He also bestowed His favorite creatures (human beings) the guidance and assistance they needed. That is why Allah (SWT) endowed humanity with more than one hundred and twenty four thousand of His Messengers.

In fact, this very fact is mentioned quite clearly in Qur’an, the final Scripture that Allah Almighty chose to reveal upon the final Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) more than 1400 years ago in the following words:
For We assuredly sent amongst every People a messenger, (with the Command) “Serve Allah, and eschew Evil”: of the people were some whom Allah guided, and some on whom Error became inevitably (established). So travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those who denied (the Truth). (16:36)

Selected quotes from the Quran

1.    2:177. Righteousness is not turning your faces towards the east or the west. Righteous are those who believe in GOD, the Last Day, the angels, the scripture, and the prophets; and they give the money, cheerfully, to the relatives, the orphans, the needy, the traveling alien, the beggars, and to free the slaves; and they observe the Contact Prayers (Salat) and give the obligatory charity (Zakat); and they keep their word whenever they make a promise; and they steadfastly persevere in the face of persecution, hardship, and war. These are the truthful; these are the righteous.
2.    2:197. Hajj shall be observed in the specified months. Whoever sets out to observe Hajj shall refrain from sexual intercourse, misconduct, and arguments throughout Hajj. Whatever good you do, GOD is fully aware thereof. As you prepare your provisions for the journey, the best provision is righteousness. You shall observe Me, O you who possess intelligence.
3.    2:219. They ask you about intoxicants and gambling: say, "In them there is a gross sin, and some benefits for the people. But their sinfulness far outweighs their benefit." They also ask you what to give to charity: say, "The excess." GOD thus clarifies the revelations for you, that you may reflect.
2:220. upon this life and the Hereafter. And they ask you about the orphans: say, "Bringing them up as righteous persons is the best you can do for them. If you mix their property with yours, you shall treat them as family members." GOD knows the righteous and the wicked. Had GOD willed, He could have imposed harsher rules upon you. GOD is Almighty, Most Wise.
4.    3:109. To GOD belongs everything in the heavens and everything on earth, and all matters are controlled by GOD.
3:110. You are the best community ever raised among the people: you advocate righteousness and forbid evil, and you believe in GOD. If the followers of the scripture believed, it would be better for them. Some of them do believe, but the majority of them are wicked.

Understand the Importance of Qur'an

As Salaamu Alaikum wa Rehmatullahi wa Barakatahu

The Quran revealed to our beloved Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) is a miracle. Every Ayat of the Quran is extremely important. One must even know when the verses came down and the situations in which they were revealed. During the recitation and the study of Quran, one must earnestly try to understand the message contained in this book. Each and every message is for us, the Muslim Ummah to take heed. The stories of the earlier Prophets are there for a reason: the traits and character seen in the people those Prophets were sent to are very much apparent in the characters of people living today.

.
فَإِنَّمَا يَسَّرْنَاهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
Verily, We have made this (Quran) easy, in your tongue, in order that they may give heed. (Quran 44:58)

Allah says in the Holy Quran,
كِتَابٌ أَنزَلْنَاهُ إِلَيْكَ مُبَارَكٌ لِّيَدَّبَّرُوا آيَاتِهِ وَلِيَتَذَكَّرَ أُوْلُوا الْأَلْبَابِ
This is a Book full of Blessings that we have revealed unto you so people ponder upon its verses and men of intellect may reflect. (Quran 38:29)

We Muslims must understand and learn Quran, it is our duty to spread the word of Allah. When the Quran is asking its reader to understand it, there is no reason whatsoever why one should not make an effort to do that.

وَمَا يَذَّكَّرُ إِلاَّ أُوْلُواْ الأَلْبَابِ
"But none will grasp the message except the men of intellect."(Quran 2:269)

The Benefits of Reading the Qur'an

As Salaamu Alaikum

The rewards of reciting the Quran are many. An authentic hadith in At-Tirmithee states:

"Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala), he will have a reward. And that reward will be multiplied by ten. I am not saying that “Alif, Laam, Meem” is a letter, rather I am saying that “Alif” is a letter, “laam” is a letter and “meem” is a letter.” So increase your recitation of the Qur’an to gain these merits, and to gain the following merit as well."

But what if I am not a good reciter or having trouble or difficulty with it's recitation?

Further,: In another hadeeth, ‘Aa’ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, relates that the Prophet (sallAllahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said:

"Verily the one who recites the Qur’an beautifully, smoothly, and precisely, he will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels. And as for the one who recites with difficulty, stammering or stumbling through its verses, then he will have TWICE that reward.”
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

And Finally:The Prophet (Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam) said:
The Qur’an is an intercessor, something given permission to intercede, and it is rightfully believed in. Whoever puts it in front of him, it will lead him to Paradise; whoever puts it behind him, it will steer him to the Hellfire.” [An authentic hadith found in At-Tabaraanee, on the authority of ‘Abdullaah ibn Mas’ood]

Practicle steps for Memorizing the Holy Quran

Assalam o Alaikum All Readers!
Almost every Muslim wishes to memorise the Quran and many have embarked upon the journey of doing so, yet a number among them do this task rather haphazardly, which leads to difficulty in the process of memorisation as well as increasing their chances of forgetting what they have memorised. In view of the great need of ensuring the successful memorisation of the Quran, some practical steps toward efficient memorisation and avoiding setbacks are stated in this article:1. The Same CopyUse the same Mus-haf (copy) when you read the Quran and stick to it so that you may become familiar with it and know the sites of various verses and how to find them quickly when you revise what you have memorised.2. ReaderTry to find a knowledgeable reader, such as a Quran Teacher (especially a scholar Quran Teacher) who is well versed in the rules of Tajweed (correct recitation). Start reading to him what you intend to memorise beforehand so that he may correct any wrong pronunciation.3. GroupRead and memorise the Quran within a group rather than individually. Members of groups help each other in correcting mistakes and thus make the task easier. If you can't find many people 2 members are enough. You encourage each other and get inspiration. Prophet Muhammad  sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: "Whenever a group congregates in one of the houses of Allaah (i.e., Mosques) to recite the Book of Allaah (Quran) and study it, peace and mercy will descend upon them, the angels will surround them and Allaah will mention them to those with Him (i.e., the angels)." [Muslim]4. RepeatRepeat what you have memorised to yourself frequently, and the best way to do this is during the prayers.5. TajweedLearn the basic rules of Tajweed before you start memorising and try to apply these rules while memorising. Allaah Says in the Quran (what means): "… And recite the Quran with measured recitation." [Quran 73:4]6. Supplication(DUA)Supplicate to Allaah to help you in memorising what you have read of the Quran. Many Hadeeths (Prophetic narrations) point to how this is to be done.
